♾️ Infinite Tic-Tac-Toe

Classic X's and O's with a twist — each player only keeps their last 3 marks on the board, so there's no such thing as a draw.

Overview: The same board and goal as classic tic-tac-toe, with one twist: each player can only ever have 3 marks on the board at once, which keeps the game moving until someone actually wins.

Objective
Get 3 of your marks in a row, column, or diagonal.
Players
2 players, sharing one phone.
Setup
Enter both player names (or leave them blank for Player 1 / Player 2) and start — no other setup needed.

How Infinite Tic-Tac-Toe Works

  1. Players take turns tapping an empty square to place their mark, same as classic tic-tac-toe.
  2. The moment you place a 4th mark, your oldest mark vanishes from the board — shown as a dashed, faded square right before it disappears.
  3. That means the board is always shifting, and a draw is essentially impossible — you just keep playing until someone lines up 3 in a row.
Winning
Whoever gets 3 of their current marks in a row, column, or diagonal wins the round. Tap Play Again for a rematch with the score kept.

Tips

  • Watch for your opponent's dashed "about to vanish" mark — it tells you exactly which square is about to open up.
  • Great for killing a few minutes with just one other person and one phone — no setup, no players list needed.
