Overview: Two modes. Clock Simulator is a plain stopwatch — Start, Stop, Reset — for running your own timing challenges. Mobile as Moderator turns the phone into a silent referee: it plays the audio cues, nobody ever watches a live countdown, and there are three game types to choose from.
- Objective
- Depends on the game — get as close to the target time as possible, either by guessing after the fact or by stopping a hidden clock yourself.
- Players
- 1 or more. Works solo for practice, or with a group for real competition — everyone takes a turn passing the phone.
- Setup
- Pick Clock Simulator or Mobile as Moderator. In Moderator mode, choose a game type, add players, and pick Points or Lives scoring.
The Three Moderator Games
- Guess the Seconds: everyone watches the phone. Tap Start to hear a beep, the buzzer fires at a random or exact moment you set, and everyone types how many seconds they think passed — down to the millisecond if you like.
- Stay Below X: set a limit. Players pass the phone one at a time, tap Start, then tap Stop as close to the limit as they dare without going over — go over and the buzzer fires automatically.
- 3 Chances to Hit X: set an exact target. Each player gets 3 tries to stop the hidden clock as close to it as possible — their best attempt counts.
- Winning
- Points mode: the closest guess or attempt each round scores 3/2/1 points, adding up across as many rounds as you want. Lives mode: the worst performer loses a heart each round, and the last player with hearts left wins.
Tips
- No live countdown is ever shown — that's the whole point. Trust your internal clock, not the screen.
- Stay Below X has real push-your-luck tension — the buzzer catches you the instant you go over, so it plays out like a mini bomb-defusal.
- Use Clock Simulator if you'd rather run your own made-up timing challenge without any scoring attached.
