Overview: The classic night-and-day social deduction game, with roles you define yourself. The phone privately runs every night action, so there's never a human "narrator" who knows everyone's secrets.

Objective
Town: eliminate every Mafia member. Mafia: equal or outnumber the Town.
Players
5–12 recommended, minimum 3.
Setup
Add players, then define roles: a name, a team (Town or Mafia), an optional night action (Kill, Save, or Inspect), and how many of that role to include. Unassigned players become plain Villagers.

How Mafia Works

  1. Everyone privately learns their role during the reveal phase.
  2. At night, everyone closes their eyes. By default, the phone privately visits every player in turn — even ones with nothing to do — so no one can tell who has powers just by who gets called up.
  3. Mafia members privately agree on a shared kill target. Doctor-type roles privately choose someone to protect. Detective-type roles privately investigate someone's team.
  4. At dawn, the app reveals who (if anyone) died. Discuss out loud, then vote publicly to eliminate a suspect — their role is revealed.
Winning
Town wins when every Mafia member is eliminated. Mafia wins the moment they equal or outnumber the surviving Town.

Tips

  • For a first game, keep it simple: one Mafia, one Doctor, one Detective, rest Villagers.
  • The "everyone gets a turn" night setting is slower but keeps the game fair for longer — worth it for sharper groups.
